  1. Everything looks fabulous!

I am totally bummed that I missed last month so now I am off the list - but hey rules are rules.

But I am dusting myself off and getting back on the horse. I made Banana Pepper Jelly:

    http://robbingpeter.wordpress.com/2010/10/21/october-can-jam-pepper-jelly/

Not spicy, but super tasty. And I played around with Pomona's Universal Pectin instead of regular commercial pectin.

  6. Wow! What a great roundup! I see several things I want to try. I've never been big into chili peppers but this challenge has opened my mouth to new possibilities.

  7. Great round up as always! This was my favorite month yet! I can't stop eating all my goods!

Yep, I did get oil all over my canner. It is odd. I trust her... and it was certainly an oddity among canning experiences!

I also did a jalapeno jelly and a fermented lemon-chili pickle. Serious heat. Yum.

  8. While I'm not a big straight-up pepper jam fan, some of these berry-pepper combos have my mouth watering.
And I'm definitely going to try marinading some, even if it does get oil in the canner.
Thanks for a great round-up, I have to go pick up some more peppers now!
Ps- we fixed our recipe for Kashmir Chili Pepper Chutney to be more accurate and safe for canning:

  12. Tigress,

I have tasted the zucchini pickles and they are great. The quince is still a work in progress but I hope that one more batch and I will have it. Have to admit this quince recipe work up is the most difficult I have had some far. 3 test batches and counting.

  13. I didn't think that my family could eat enough pickled chilies to go that route, but we do like jelly so I made a variation on the Apricot Hot Pepper Jelly in Small Batch Preserving - instead of 2 jalapenos, I used 4 jalapenos and 4 banana peppers. It's sweet and hot and seriously yummy!

  14. Wow i never believed that there exist a lot of peppers, thanks a lot for share, now I have to look one by one the recipes haha
